Don't get me wrong, Bridge is a solid player as you say, but if we spend another "significant six figure sum" in transfer fees then we may as well have paid £300k for the 6 we desperately need.

Bridge is the realisitic option, and I would take some convincing he was worth having, he isn't a game changer.

I suspect though I can not state for certain, that AP will be as strict on the salary cap as Warrington. If he is told by Bomber and Gentle who they want then I am sure AP will do all he can to bring them in and at all costs. The cash will be recouped through us the fans.

Quota space is something he can't fiddle with but I am sure we will be able to wheel and deal.

I think that aswell we will sign a decent Nrl centre but people will probably be disappointed that its not a Lyon but they are some really good players out there who will come over here and stand out

You are lowering your usual standards with that comment I have always considered you one of the more reasonable intelligent posters on here, leave that line for the likes of others who believe me will use it and use it and use it etc....
Anyway Chase told the fans that he was coming, but I think it is safe to say he was winding them up....The Lyon rumour has come from a few better sources than jimmyfivebellies and gang ...although I would love it to be true.

What an odd post. 'Make your mind up' wasn't a line, merely a reference to the fact that you were convinced Chase was coming a few days ago, and now it's Lyon. And I fail to see how it reflects on a poster's intelligence (either way) when said in that context. It was only meant light-heartedly anyway. Perhaps you ought to stop being so defensive?

Says something that a few months ago we were rumoured to be signing him, now we're talking about Jamie Lyon, Michael Jennings and Rangi Chase!
