The rest of your post is probably libellous.

Wasn't actually after Plummer left, Plummer was made Finance Director IIRC.

Most likely scenario IMO.

Depends. I posted on a previous thread that I suspect Hull City pay Adam Pearson more than Hull FC pay James Rule, in which case it would make financial sense for Pearson to stay where he is and leave Rule in his position. He'll still have ultimate control.

Great statement of intent from AP.

That will not just please fans to see, myself included but will reassure possible signings that they are joining (in his own words) an ambious club.

Exactly. He's one of the only people in a position to make an informed decision, the rest of us can only make guesses with whatever bias we have manifesting itself.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.;

Bloody marvelous, AP is like a breath of fresh air after all the spin and crap we have had in recent years.

JR is next on the leaving party list as I reckon we need a complete sweep of the club to remove any traces of the last administration. The whole club has to be purged of mediocrity, the milk cow mentality and become more customer ( fan ) focused

For year many of attempted to point out what the old mob where doing , milking us dry and for years we where shouted down. Disloyal, unfaithful and un grateful to those who kept the club alive, true they did and now it would appear that debt we have repaid many times over.

I am filled with releif when I see the new owner coming out with these sort of statements, after years of under funding and being sold short we may at long last be on the verge of a golden future.

One I hope we can all share and enjoy a brillaint secure future together

Firstly; sycophantic, propaganda, and culpable.

Secondly, people outside of the club have no idea for certain whether Rule is how you described or simply wasn't listened to. I think there are many who unfairly hold an association with the people he happened to be employed by against him. The fact is, he came to the club as a marketing man, and on that side we're one of if not the best in the league, as shown by our income.

I just hope that if Rule does stay in his position fans finally start to consider that he might be good at his job and an asset to the club, instead of just wanting rid because he's a reminder of Kath Hetherington.

Think he meant "sycophant".

I wonder how much better James Rule can be with the backing of AP.

There's a lot of emphasis in AP's piece on investment in youth development. We've long wondered why more young players weren't coming through the system and this seems to have lacked a lot more focus than our Grade A license would have lulled us into believing. The finger of blame has pointed at Andy Last for not developing them and Agar for not blooding them but perhaps they were just not up to it through lack of application of the sports science knowledge out there, lack of focus on player performance management and poor training facilities at a key point in their development as young, growing people. I find AP's determination to sort this area out as one of the most inspiring aspects of the piece.

It feels a bit too good to be true all of this after the last 20 or so years.

I think, for what it's worth, the younger players didn't come through because of clauses in their contracts that would trigger payments and the old lot didn't like the idea of paying "two people for the same job" sort of thing.

interesting point of view and AP's pointed remarks regarding the old regime lend weight to it.
