I don't agree, Hawkins is 25 and played 11 games, back up half for the worst team in the NRL.

Id look at Hastings or Scott O sullivan. Someone with more experience.

Not totally against hawkins, but hopefully with a bit more cash and hopefully a coach with some pulling power with look at other option too.

I wouldn't say no to Clifford, depends how he left the club, would Pearson take him back, would he come.

We probably have a couple of marquee players next season, the 7 has to be one of them surely. The other on a 9 or 13.

Id take him back if he wanted... Was never gonna come back whilst TS was here cos he took a pop at the lack of intencity in training.

We deffo need a 13, we haven’t had one for years.

Yet another contributing factor to our gradual fall to 11th in the league.

It's really not. A lack of investment, poor decision making and crappie coaching appointments is why we are where we're at.

Wigan and saints both play glorified props at 13.

Sort our defence, get a couple of leaders on the pitch. A decent 9, 7 a couple of good 2nd rowers and we will be miles better

Got told today that Ligi Sao has been accepted to train as a fireman in Hull and is wanting out of his FC contract. Heard a rumour about it a few weeks ago but this today came from a serving fireman who has no interest in rugby.

Aren't Fire-fighters on pretty basic pay? Can only imagine it's about 40k which is surely way less than seeing a contract out.

Think we'd all like to be in the fire service if we could afford it.

If he's got a dream/ambition; fair play.

Nice that he loves the Town so much he wants to stay..

Yep. He also said it’d be about a 100k pay cut for him

From what I gather from somebody I vaguely know who tried to join the fire service the training spots don't necessarily come up that often so if it's something he wants to do as a post-rugby career then I can see that he'd want to take the opportunity while it's there.
Assuming there is anything to it ofc.

Not sure of any other benefits, but will come with an above average pension. Sure he’ll be able to pick up a part time RL contract in the Championship, to supplement his pay.
