Not many out of that list that are viable in my opinion a few are way too old at 33 or 34 years of age now, probably one of the 3 ive listed, id of thought, wss talk of Turpin coming to super league last year

Agree on Turpin. The Roosters came in with a late deal.

Walters going to Wigan. Saints fans sounded pretty confident he was going there

Yeah can't see Savelio moving to Rovers, but could see Halton coming to us

He’s contracted for another 2 years and I doubt we’d just be looking to offload his wage in this market.

Can’t see Hull offering a fee. There might a swap that’d work but I’m not sure what.

I know it can go Danny Langtree as easily as it can go Frankie Halton, but looking in the Championship might be the better option.

Makes no sense when we are crying out for two second rows and at least one front row.

Take it you're happy to go with Houghton again next season?

We've got 3 quota spots free. With Leeming looking like he's going to Catalans, it makes sense to look at overseas options.

yes and we have to use them where we can get more effect and more go forward on the field and that has to be in the second row and front row. With forward power you can get away with a deficiency at nine

Would rather see Houghton retire but if his on field minutes are managed correctly which Smith seems to be doing then we can get by at nine

We currently have the worst and most innefective second row in S/L and if as expected Satae leaves then a big front row replacement is required.
Given that there is a sparsity of quality UK forwards available then these will have to come from overseas and thats were are quota spots should be used rather than at nine

Luis Johnson is ooc and Smith signed him for Rovers. With Wallace joining Rovers, I’d guess Johnson would be available. Johnson is 24 now, so not in the promising youngster category any more. Could help fill out the skinny middle of your squad, alongside the lads you resigned this week, bridging the gap to some of your very young fringe players.

We can still sign an overseas middle and edge with room for a hooker.

He isn't everyone's cup of tea but Bentley is available along with Whitley. Two good non quota SR options. If we could snap up one of those with a quota option, the back row looks better

If we've lost out on Trout it's a kick, but Sao, Taylor and Fash have been a decent 3. An overseas prop to replace Satae plus a project middle would be ok.
