Plus, wasn't there all that hoo-ha about pollution on the site? Not great for residential development. You wouldn't buy a house on the old Capper Pass site would you? Although I wonder slightly about the toxicity of pea-pollution.

Can't see how there'd be any ground pollution, seeing as it was a food processing plant.
Definately no toxins allowed on site except ammonia which was used as the refrigerant.
Possibly asbestos contamination?
Cracking site for a ground though, - downside Tetleys in the Gypsyville Tavern
Capper Pass a different kettle of fish - toxic wasteland. I'd rather build a house at Chernobyl!

Remember barmby played top flight football for a lot of years for some big clubs and has been transferred a few times, so with wages and signing on fees he won't be short of a bob or two and he doesn't look like the type of person to squander it all on flash cars,women and booze. I reckon he could contribute a few million easily.

Barmby won't have anywhere near enough money, he played premier league when wages (whilst still extortionate) where nowhere near the levels it's at now. Plus he spent the last few years at a L1/Championship/Premiership side.

If we did get a new stadium, and it's a massive if, I reckon it would be funded partly by the council from proceeds of selling the KC to Allam at a cut price. Wouldn't be surprised to see it called the MKM Stadium either.

Don't forget he played 2 seasons at Leeds when Ridsdale was handing out contracts, so he's probably in the Abramovich league after that.
