Funny that, I seem to remember Mason having one of his best seasons ever last year.. If he doesn't make it over then that's all the better for us, but we're hardly in a position to crow about it after crocker?
Well I don't think you'd find many people that would argue that those prospects were similar but we've already established you have some very dodgy opinions...I'm sorry if I missed all those dazzling Rhys Lynn performances last year though
I for one wish him well... One thing is for sure despite what a lot on here said he was not sacked or under any sort of investigation...Good luck Mr Rule!
But the point you were making was that Morgan makes better signings... you can't say that Mason is a better signing if he hasn't played!! He maybe a bigger name, but along with that comes a bigger wage and a bigger ego. Ultimately a bigger risk!!
i doubt morgan had mason in mind, hudge would've seen ££ signs and made sure he was signed, just like cookie, may come off, may not
Fair enough maybe 'ambitious' was the wrong word, 'successful' was probably fairer... I've described why Rovers are currently more successful than us,if it had just been for one year you could have called it a blip, 2 a worrying trend.. but a I think when they've been on top this long you just have to accept they are the city's top dogs. Yes we have a better stadium and play in front of more fans, that's one thing we do have... As it happens I don't actually rate Morgan that highly, but I struggle to think of one aspect where Agar bests him... can you genuinly come up with any?
Depends how you define success. Before you get too giddy on the play-offs front, let's not forget that under the format up to 2008, Rovers wouldn't have even qualified for the play-offs in 2010. Agar took FC to a major final that realistically we might have won had Adam Dykes been available. The closest Morgan's come to a major final is a 50-0 tw@tting by Saints in a semi. I personally don't think either team are top dogs in the city. FC won both league derbies, Rovers won a play-off that ultimately led to nothing but a sound beating by Wigan.
I don't rate Agar, as I've said repeatedly, but what do you think of Tom Briscoe? I think he's pretty good. That's Agar's work. I like O'Meley a lot and think Fitz is great. Both signed by Agar. Houghton has developed into a first choice hooker who may be knocking on the international door soon. He's stepped up under Agar. I like that Agar's been brave enough to give Lyne 6 games at the age of 17. Morgan by contrast will shuffle the Aussies round and play them out of position to avoid this sort of risk. Morgan is better in terms of gameplanning, but I don't see him as an irresistible draw for a prospective Aussie player,at all.

You have to keep bringing personal insults into things don't you?? I was trying to have an adult discussion with you on here but you clearly can't manage it!!
I didn't say Reece Lyne was an amazing player, but he is a first choice winger for his country at his age group.
I know quite alot of Rovers fans who aren't totally convinced with Welham and some who actually wanted rid earlier this year. I don't think you'll find one single Rovers fan that would have Tom Briscoe in their side, he would get into every side in superleague IMO. As i said, Watts is a very good player but as with Briscoe, Houghton is up there with the best hookers in the league at the moment so, of the players mentioned FC have brought theirs on to a higher standard. And rightly so TBH.

I'd define success as who achieves more in the competion, for 3 years running that's been Rovers whichever way you want to try and play it down.
I'll give you Houghton, he could hardly pass the ball when he first came into the team and towards the end of last season he'd improved so much we felt we could move Berro to centre... Briscoe likewise but I'd hope Agar has the balls to move him to centre.
Fitz and O'Meley, most people on here in the same position would have signed them and Agar certainly doesn't get the best out of Fitz.

You seem to be struggling for facts here. Crocker was the victim of a change in application of rules which was not anticipated either by Leeds (Eastwood), Huddersfield (Carney), Bradford (Bird) or FC (Crocker) who were all impacted at the same time. Since then clubs have had to get much smarter on the visa front and employ agents to oversee the visa process, hence O'Meley and Fitzgibbon being here from pre season last year. Mason will get here eventually, for sure, but if he didn't it would be a huge embarrassment for Rovers after breaking club protocol to announce the signing early (something Hudgell slated FC for in his derby programme notes as "selling the fans short") and extending the season pass discount period off the back of it, and launching the Willie Mason trail.

Is there anything you rate about Hull FC? And more importantly is there anything Rovers do wrong?

Not a biased post IMO.
The best hookers in the league last year:
Cunningham Roby Monaghan LeuLuai Buderus
You're not seriously suggesting Houghton was up there with those?
