We are, and have been desperate for, a right centre for many years. We were also desperate for forwards with Lauaki and Fitz leaving. We have signed Lynch and O'Carroll, hopefully A.N.Other on the way.

Horne is not good enough, are you telling me that we wouldn't be a much better side with Chase at 6?

Lauaki was crap and Fitz was incredibly overrated, now that he isn't hindering Westerman we'll be much better off, in my opinion.

Not at all, I've said all along that I would prefer Chase over Horne. However, I would rather spend the cap space on priority positions. Our right side is very weak defensively, Gleeson hinted how a top centre can improve it and I think that should be our priority without a doubt.

Whether Lauaki was crap and Fitz was overated (which I don't think he was) is besides the point, if we lose forwards we have to replace them. Agree on the Westerman bit though, not as a hindrance as such as he will have learnt a hell of a lot off him, but he is a 13 and needs to play there.

Being a better side with someone else at 6 and being 'desperate' for a 6 are quite different. There's at least one player better in their position than just about everyone in the squad, but we can't sign them all.

Horne will definitely do better with a proper 7 playing alongside him on a regular basis, and we can maybe look at a big name 6 next year. That said, I would love it if we signed Chase.

Totally agree. We're desperate for a right centre because it's our defensive liability, we're desperate for a backrower through pure lack of numbers of established players. We have a competent stand-off as well as a young prospect coming through, so it's not one of our highest priorities.

We would Look better with Chase but Horne will be fine with a proper 7 with him.

The rest is just garbage.
