agree, they had a useless coach for a while (how he is still involved with a national side is beyond me) good players. As has been said, a win is a win

We really struggle as soon as Taylor is off the field. With masi, fash and Westbrook on at the same time we were being totally dominated plus made too many basic errors. Good that we won but we simply have too many players missing to compete at the top week in, week out.

I thought Widnes played well and their young hooker looked really good. Maybe we should keep an eye on him if they do go down

Good summary, the sadness is the thirty odd fans from Widnes, our sport is in trouble. How many from Huddersfield on the other side of town?

Shaul looked to be really struggling, which is a worry after a week off. Wouldn't risk him at all as we're going to need him fit for the back end of the year should we still be in touch with the 4.

Would like to see what Miloudi can do at FB now he is more settled in the team aswell.

Probably say about 250 from Huddersfield last night, maybe a bit more at a push.

After winning a few in a row with a new coach I would of expected more, A63 problems might have stopped a few deciding late on to travel mind.

Concerned that we are straying too far from the winning formula from 2016 & 2017. More attacking flair may be good to watch but we seem to have lost some of the aggression and power.

A few players also need to shape up. I’ve been disapointed with Paea all season, in his first spell he was knocking players over, now the runs seem half hearted. I also don’t think Kelly has been great for a few weeks now and looks overweight.

A wins a win and we are not in a crisis, but i’m still not seeing the step up needed to become Grand Finalists, and it looks like we will have pretty much the same squad next season so the improvements gave to come from within.

Agree with ullfc.

It was worrying how easy Widnes marched us down the field. We are not as dominant in the forwards as we have been. We rely to much on Taylor and Paea is not as effective as he was in his first stint. Losing Ellis was a massive loss and to a lesser extent watts.

I watched his debut last season as a 17 year old and you could see the massive potential he has.
We think Litten has potential but this lad at 18 is miles ahead of Litten.
Regretfully he is on a long term contract and cant see Widnes been relegated
We certainly need someone putting pressure on Danny Houghton as his game for me has dropped, whether thats as a direct result of Losing Watts from the pack i dont know but his kicking is poor and he is not running enough from acting half.
If there was evidence that we need to strengthen our pack both in the second row and front row it was last night.
Fash works his socks off but is not big enough.Never dents the line so i dont know where he realistically would fit into a quality forward pack.
I would still release Washbrook and Manu seems to have become a regular injury liability.Like him a lot and good player on his day but the club surely have to look at game time and value for money.
maybe time to say goodbye
