Unless Pearson has mind control powers, I'm not sure of the value of any "promise" to keep players. He can do his best to keep them, but if the player's mind is made up, short of locking them in a cupboard in the KC I can't see what he can do

Looking at the Crooks rumour.

taking into account that none of the clubs lose there current centres.

Crooks to Huddersfield Cudjoe and Wardle. Wouldn't get in ahead of these.
Warrington - Atkins and either Bridge,Ratchford? Possible as both play elsewhere in the team usually in the halves.
Leeds - no chance.

Tbh I have a feeling that Crooks isn't happy how he's been treat this season and may be looking to move on. As for Lineham can't see there been any chance he's leaving for the next three seasons at least.

If Crooks is unhappy, it kind of makes the "players buying in to the Radford selection policy" thing a bit less certain.

If others are unhappy, how long before a repeat of the Hudds play off?

If Crooks is unhappy it should be mainly with the quality of his defensive play.

Crooks wont be a big loss to us in my opinion. Yes hes good at attacking but to suspect in his defense and I feel that will always be his downfall.
As for Lineham, didnt he state he didnt want to go anywhere

Both one season wonders at the minute, can see massive potential in Lineham, less so in Crooks who is scarily similar to Craig Hall.

Why do we want to get rid of the guys that "can't tackle" but are good with ball in hand when our problem for many years has been that we can't attack , have no flair and play boring rugby. If we find or have players with pace , skill and flair then surely it's up to our coaches to develop the other parts of their game? It can't be done the other way around and players with those attributes as well as great defensive qualities are , as we've found , few and far between.

I've heard that Crooks and Lineham both want to leave and the reason they want to leave is Radford's man-management skills, or lack of them.
