Crooks was the best young centre in the league under gentle, so much so he was rushed back into the team half fit for Wembley (in hindsight a bad call). He was the one player in the FC team I worried about that year. You don't become a bad player overnight yet a lot are willing to write him off very quickly.
If you become a better team overall, ie your forwards start to play and your half backs organise you beter then he'd come into his own, have less defence to do and become a top player. One season wonder or having one bad season under a coach that doesn't know how to use him?

FC's biggest problem is writing players off far too early,whatch out Marc Sneyd!!!

Hope Crooks comes our way, would be delighted to see him in red and white.

The likes of Lineham, Crooks and Green were major contributors to our team last season. A team that performed far better than this year’s outfit. Yet people are now questioning them? Yes there might be a case of second season syndrome, it happens quite often with young players, but those who are suggesting we won’t’ miss them are way off imo. If they are allowed to leave it will go against everything the Pearson/Radford regime has spoken off.

As far as I can see it's just rumours. Best to only react with opinion when rumour becomes out and out fact to prevent the risk of looking a bit daft when rumours turn out to be false. In relation to Crooks he's class with ball in hand but poor defensively. He needs to improve that area of his game regardless of what any rumours might say in the same way many other players need to improve.

Crooks can go. Not seen anything other than an ability to finish that makes me think he's a top player. Partners Lineham well, but thats not easy with Linehams injuries.

See how he goes at Rovers. They did a fine job with Hall, didn't they.

If there are "Man-management" issues, no doubt Motu and Adam Pearson will have been informed.

Im not calling him a bad player at all.. Ball in hand hes very exciting, but on defensive side of the game hes nothing an is always marked out by opposition.

Thats kind of my point, his biggest downfall this year has been the inability of the team to get in decent attacking positions to play to his strengths, a lot of that must lie on the shoulders of your forwards inability to dominate and protect the backs.

In a team playing well Crooks will be a bigger asset than Talanoa, tbh his defence isn't great either.

This thread should be called "What you don't know make it up thread" lost count how many people in the know, its fact posts that suddenly turn out to be totally not true.

Look at all the Watts going to Castleford posts which turned out to be totally false and not even close to be true, as said by the guy himself.

Iirc Radford blocked a move for Nick Younquest fighting Linehams cause. To which he's said himself he owes a debt of gratitude. Crooks only has himself to blame as he's hardly covered himself in glory in the games he has started and was quite rightly dropped as a result. Injuries to both players have played a part this season but neither have put in performances that stands out. Radfords been their coach for a few years now so they should know by now what he's like and from what I've heard he's not changed since being made up to head coach. Still tells it how it is rightly or wrongly.

How very true. I'm sure we have a selection of "fans", who lie awake at night making up tomorrow's rumour. They really need to get out more.

We rightly expect the players to behave like professionals, both on and off the field.

In turn they are entitled to be treated like professionals and not bawled out in front of the group like naughty schoolboys.

Just because someone has behaved in a certain way does not mean it should always be tolerated. As we progess in our careers and are promoted we sometimes have to modify our behaviour towards others. Why shouldn't Radford?
