Don't think it is that big a deal for Hull FC, tbh - all the parties involved have left the organization. Sorry footnote to the old regime's tenure, but it's the past. I promise, I'd laugh if it were funny! Pearson properly dislikes Hetherington, doesn't he? I'm seeing her as a 70s spiv second hand car salesman, him driving along, with teeth clenched, as his newly acquired Morris 1800 makes worrying sounds and bits fall off. But then I have a vivid and overactive imagination.
I like the analogy, but we're more a neglected BMW that needs a good service
No wonder the take over deal was completed so quickly. That useless lot bolted so as not to answer to us lot! How people from outside the club must have thought we where all conspiracy theorists for all the moaning we did about that lot, and I bet there is more scandal that will probably never come to light aswell. Jesus we've had; Cookie gate Thacks not registered yet played in cup Sign Reardon whilst launching an anti bullying campaign Crocker & his non visa Lies about being debt free ( Rule was asked at a forum & he said we didn't owe a penny to anyone) yet we owed a couple of million to the tax man Lies about training facilities etc
After that lot the RFL should give us the fans a bloody trophy for still turning up!
The thing I can't get my head around is, even if you have the inclination to cheat and the feckwittery to lie about it, "Why bother?" FC under Agar were awful and were never going to win anything, with or without a knackered and troublesome centre. Why would two people risk their career over it?
I guess because the truth would have potentially implicated Sean Long (it certainly would have revealed that he was also taking a banned substance). Whereas if Gleeson had claimed to have not consulted anyone, he would have been obviously negligent and so there would be no mitigation. When Gleeson arrived we looked a different side with a proper right centre. I still had hope. Maybe James Rule did too. Doesn't excuse what he did though, it was stupid and he deserves his punishment.
This is Gwilym Lloyd, though. He's an ice hockey and cricket specialist who supports Hull KR and knows little about RL outside of the city of Hull, despite being the Radio Humberside "Rugby League Editor". He'll be absolutely loving it, for drama and the negative impact on FC. Bet he was gutted there was no Sportstalk tonight - he could have banged on about it for hours.
Yes how rotten of Gwilym to go on about a drug taking cheat and a CEO who orchestrates a cover up. Fancy a journalist going on about something trivial like that, doesn't he have anything newsworthy like a Hull FC training session he could report on?
What about the league points Hull FC picked up whilst Gleeson was cheating? FC certainly won a derby with Gleeson scoring a try. Cas lost out to Hull for a play off spot by a single point so they have grounds for complaint certainly.
It's OK Hull saying the culprits have left the club but that's not good enough. Hull benefitted by the cheating of 3 of the staff and there will have to be some pay back.
Instead of worrying about Gwilym Llloyd you should be more concerned about the repercussions that may still lie ahead.

There were a few posters on here who bemoned the fools who owned us before, yet week in week out the club apologists came trotting out saying how fab Rule et al was, grade A and all that jazz.
Those guys were right you know. No wonder they dont post now

Wish I could find the crying/taking my ball home smiley

Oh dear. I was responding to a Huddersfield fan's neutral criticism of Lloyd's performance on Radio 5 Live. To say Lloyd is impartial within the city's RL would be an extreme stretching of the truth. To say he is a rugby league expert when his knowledge of rugby league beyond the city boundaries is shaky would be similarly unwise. Of course it's a highly newsworthy story, there can be no doubt about it. That's why he was sought out by 5 LIve as the impartial expert. Sadly for them, and for the sport of RL, according to Mr Giant, it didn't quite work out. I was furnishing our Huddersfield friend with some explanatory context for his criticism of Lloyd's effort on national radio. Simple as.

You speak indignantly as if this is new inforamtion. Of course there may well be consequences. I have already brought this point up myself and defended it against those who said there probably wouldn't be. Sadly you seem to have tripped over that fact in your haste to caress your beloved "G". Tragic.
And as for the point about Rovers being cheated of a couple of points, let's not forget you got smashed by 50, yes 50 points, in your play-off game. I have sympathy with Cas, for sure, but only the most delusional Rovers fan would claim this incident had a major impact on the competition.
The question I ask is who is the whistleblower? Who informed the Hull Daily Mail? All of this apprently happened in June!!!!! It was a well kept secret not only by fc, the guilty parties, the drug agency, and the RFl. So why has it come out now?
Someone is hacked off over this. . .Gleeson? Cooper? Rule?
