Or that miserable excuse of a signing, Josh Jones? TBF, to Jones, maybe the culture at Hull, which has long been questioned from within and externally, was the problem, not the individual. I hope Smith can sell a new vision to any would be signings, I am sure he'll get the right people this time. I'd also promote Clifford to Club Captain. He is a leader, vocally and by example, on the pitch.

Josh Jones was a disgrace, can’t think of a player that was as universally disliked by everyone as much as he was due to his behaviour.

To be fair to Jones he was unlucky that he was the only professional sportsman in the country long covid.

The fact that he recovered when Huddersfield came in for him was purely coincidental.

He actually recovered the day after we were officially linked to Ian Watson coming in as coach. The players hadn't seen him for months, linked with Watson, the next day Josh Jones is there. Its why people like Tag can't stand him

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

See our neighbours have signed Peter Hiku, certainly a good signing for them , not pacy but a very good player and I’d say on current form , an upgrade on Coote, as they intend him to play fullback, according to HDM. Think we’ll announce a few ourselves soon, no panic and Smith will have been identifying targets and speaking to agents, so will be intrigued who we eventually get, wouldn’t mind a few of the monster reserve pack players from Manly and the Panthers , but that is wishful thinking.

It will be bizarre if they play him at fullback, he has played there 7 times in the past 8 years. It’s such a specialist position.
