You make it sound like these rumours are actual signings.

Anyway if we signed some average players that would be an improvement on some signings in the last five or six years.

Always rated Milner. Not as good as he was in his peak at Cas, but still a tough competitor and experienced - both what we lack in the pack.

Him and Holmes are good additions. Experienced, no nonsense Brits who are an improvement to what we have. Steps in the right direction IMO.

I'd be a bit disappointed with Milner but would take Holmes who is a good experienced second rower and we need someone who Staveley and Jebson can learn from.

We have make the step-up to being average before we can start competing at the top of sl again. Will take a couple o myears to get anywhere near with the dearth of talent available

Suppose every signing. Can’t be top players , especially in a salary cap sport , and the players been mentioned lately aren’t what I’d pick , but if they are replacing our average players like brown Scott etc then we are improving our squad with better average players . Won’t be an overnight thing assembling a squad that’s perfect , it will take a few years after how far back we’ve fell behind the best teams .

Bingo…..don’t rate a couple of names mentioned but would be better than ones replacing.Still think there will be another couple of “wow” signings and backed up with good players then we will improve

Me too , it’s going to be our overseas signings where the class comes from I’d have thought. , mainly due to lack of quality available who is from here , unless we pay some fees .

Who was the centre Leigh wanted to bring but couldn't do to not having any overseas spots? Armstrong?

Maybe we should sound them out for rest if this season?

Really intrigued to see who the coach is, a quality coach would get a tune out of any player, world class or not, no team has a squad of world class players,

Like previous comments have mentioned, 5/6 more quality signings and a ‘changing of the guard’ is what really matters, yes we will overpay to get players, but the right coach maybe able to get a tune out of some of the players that we have now,

Looking forward to how Trueman and Charles link up, would like to see a change at 9 though this weekend, maybe move Smith to 9 and use Balmforth from the bench

Sounds to me like lam is about our 3rd or 4th choice if he comes. Ive never been convinced he's any good after he failed at wigan but he got a tune out of leigh last year although I do wonder how much of that was down to lachlan
