Agree. Was good last week and against Rovers.

If that was good I’d hate to see him have an average game.

Was at fault for their first try.

Dropped the ball on the first tackle when taking a hit up.

Put in a poor kick on the second tackle when we were near there line.

Yes he made 54 tackles but because of these errors I think his overall performance was far from good.

Think its getting to the point of thank you for your service carlos. Weve been guilty hanging onto players too long, and a few called it a while ago saying the injurys are starting to mount up.

I dont think he l be on a cheap deal either

Truth be told Ive never really got his hype in all honesty. His try scoring for a centre is shocking.

Agree with this, how many of those tackles were 2nd or 3rd man in, still counts as a tackle. Also I’d suggest that he made that many tackles as teams are targeting him because of his flat footed defending. Paul Vaughan made about 20m post contact meters off one carry with Lane and hoy in the tackle.

His best asset in his prime was consistency, always at least a 7 out of 10 and rarely injured. Also he was more mobile than the big backs we had at the time so it was a good mix.

Lanes ruck and square marker management is absymal.

Penalty machine, error and missed tackle machine.

Nothing he does justifys the amount of shoddyness and brain farts he emits

Houghton retiring end of season id hope balmforth replaces and Hodgson isnt far off.

Carlos contract up thank you and good bye. Can Cam Scott take his place hes another who seems very injury prone. Or do we invest?

Joe Cator another contract up, id again say thank you and good bye just on games missed and durability.

And id see if i could get Lane transferred out, Wakey. Castleford may bite.

Those would be the big decisions that need making end of this season.

Would love a specialist looseforward with creativity and abit of grunt.

In an ideal world Jebson and Stavely really come on this season and take Lanes spot.

Any good centres out of contract as for me times ticking out for Cam Scott.

Or do we use Carlos.s quota spot on a marquee halfback?

Is our conditioning team a problem? Another area Pearson is doing on the cheap? We can't constantly be getting this many injuries each season through bad luck....look at the difference being at a well resourced team made to Tom Johnstone, constantly injured at Wakefield, constantly playing for Catalan

Thing is, there's having a dig, which the majority of players will do, but I don't think Lane should be in our first team, that effort on Vaughan last week showed why. If we released him today ,which super League team would sign him up?
