We had a good win over Bradford away (when they still appeared to be a half decent team) and then beat Wakefield in the Semi despite nearly throwing it away..we then put up a reasonable performance against Saints considering our injuries but the general perception was they were there for the taking that day. Good for the club undoubtebly but hardly an endsorsement of Agar. I'm really not interested in what Rovers would have done under the 6 team system since that wasn't the rules we were playing to
We made a major final. The nearest Rovers have got to one, as said, is a 50 point tw@tting 5 seasons ago.

Two? I must have missed Houghtons England bow, I must congratulate him. Disagree about Fox and Briscoe going backwards
Agar's rescued Yeaman's international career - he made the train-on squad but had to withdraw through injury. If you think Shaun Briscoe and Fox were as good in 2010 as in 2009 you should give your head a bang. Fox made the Dream Team and international selection in 2009 for starters, not so in 2010.

Disagree, there's an art to managing ageing players... Agar just flogged him until he diminished towards the end of the season.
So what would you have done differently? Played him less, fine, who would you have given more minutes to that would have delivered the same?
I love Jamie and have done since he was 10 years old.

Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.
I for one wish him well... One thing is for sure despite what a lot on here said he was not sacked or under any sort of investigation...Good luck Mr Rule!
Neil has already told you both to take it to PM and I will remind you both.
You won't be asked again.
I have to say I find it a very strange signature to have.
Sorry for messing up the threads with it, have to say I think it's pretty poor though that you think it's strange i want to highlight the bigoted attitudes of another poster.

We made one as a SL club and lost, Rovers made a Semi as a national league club... I'd argue those were similar achievements

The Yeaman comment is laughable, although to be fair any comments regarding a players international standing are pretty ridiculous now McNamaras in charge. I don't think it's fair to say that just because Fox was so outstanding in 2009 that he made the dream team, the fact he didn't make it in 2010 means he's 'gone backwards'? Briscoe I agree, has probably gone backwards since he left us.

He made the comment and you and others picked him up on it. I just don't see the need to have it in a signature but that's your choice. He has asked you to remove it but you seem to be taking pleasure in refusing and keep referring to him begging you, I find that strange. It's your sig and your choice though. I just want the petty arguing taking away from the thread.

Rovers lost a semi by 50 points. You're talking about success in absolute, not relative terms. We won ours and made a major final, at the time our 3rd in 4 years.

Hence the , but nonetheless Yeaman was selected for the squad. Briscoe did make the Dream Team with us in 2004 and has failed to do so since, admittedly, but he's not achieved in 2010 what he did in 2009. Neither did Fox IMO. Don't forget one poster was crowing about Fox's Offiah-like brilliance in 2009, but has surprisingly gone quiet since. That tells its own story.

Fitz in the second row, so who would you have dropped, Manu (our best dangerous player), Tickle (our goalkicker) or Lauaki? I'm guessing Lauaki would have had to be dropped in your opinion to allow Washy to play 13 at the business end of the season (Whiting breaking his arm in the first half of the July derby but playing to the end, of course, and missing the rest of the season).

Do you feel like you're going round in circles Mrs B?? I think you've put your point over and backed up impeccably as usual. With regards your points i think that, as much as we keep saying it, the injuries to the squad took their toll on Fitzy a little. Didn't Agar say early in the season that the plan was to rest him him but then injuries took over.. O'Meleys rib, and Radford's rib aswell IIRC
