It was a too big a job for one of the most successful SL coaches.
Done his apprenticeship at the best club in SL and a top NRL club, if all the names mentioned he'd be right up there, would rather have Rowley, but don't see that happening. Not sure who else is realistic.
Like others not a fan of Mcdermott, just something not right about him, don't think the Leeds fans were keen on him, despite him winning multiple finals.
Anderson not too sure either, not coached in SL for a while, but did win the LLS at Hudds and involved in the England set up.
McNamara is another strange one, would he come, always felt he has underachied there, with the resources he has had, pull for players and financial loop holes and no competition for young players.
