We shouldn't be paying top dollar for a winger, nobody should. I'd rather play Lancaster than an overpaid convict after a pension fund.

Just using him as an example. Looking at the u19's squad list we have a couple of other young wingers on our books called Ash Leaming and Josh Poskitt that we could try out should the situation arise. Anyone know anything about these two?

3 wingers is enough IMO, so we shouldn't be spending big on a winger, especially as we dont use them enough, although that might chance with the halfs we have next year.

Spot on, nearly every season it's been our 'lesser known' signings that have out-performed the 'marquee' signings. Much rather see us sign the players we actually need rather then sign somebody just because they are a big-name.

They would get eaten alive in SL..poskitt wont make it hes only around as he is mel harmens grandson..Lancaster is the best out the lot & hes not ready to pkay every week he would be made a turnstyle.

With the new halfs coming in we will need good wingers to get on the end of plays to finish off.

I'm not saying play Lancaster every week. We have Lineham and Talanoa in front of him. If one picks up an injury then bring in Lancaster. If we're unfortunate enough that two wingers get injured at once then give one of the other U19s a try. Or maybe bring in a loan signing.

A NRL/SOO winger is not going to come over here for peanuts. We'd be better allocating our money elsewhere.

If we are indeed looking to bring in a new winger as competition to Lineham and Talanoa then we should be looking at Jamie Foster IMO.
