Rovers lost a semi by 50 points. You're talking about success in absolute, not relative terms. We won ours and made a major final, at the time our 3rd in 4 years.
Making a final is only a relative success. Not that relative success isn't nice.

Your chum Mr Brindley's claim was that making a semi final was exactly the same achievement as making a final. On that basis, we should adopt a handicap system for the Super League competition.

As Brits, shouldn't we be saying 'reach', rather than 'make'?
Without endorsing Brindley's position, he did say 'similar', oh Queen of the subtle misrepresentation.

Lordy, the King of Pedantry is alive and well. Nowt to do now you've locked the thread on Rovers board re Mason's no-show?

Since Americanisms are the theme du jour, may I be the first to say I think it's nice for Garry that you "have his back". Sounds like he's your bro. Lovely stuff.
I for one wish him well... One thing is for sure despite what a lot on here said he was not sacked or under any sort of investigation...Good luck Mr Rule!
Very amusing how people are resorting to sinking to 'Expro' depths and saying I support Rovers just because I acknowledge they are top dogs in our city and have been for some time. I acknowledge it because its ridiculous that its been allowed to happen and I want something done to change it, seems others simply want to stick their heads in the sand.
I realise some think it's sacrilegious and disloyal to accept the current status of our club but I feel the Rovers supporting claims vindicate what I'm saying, even the usually well reasoned Mrs B has resorted to it.

I think it's more the biased and blinkered views you're coming out with which people are picking up on, tbh.
You're saying that Rovers are far superior, more successful, have better aussies, better young english players, etc.....
When in fact they aren't, aren't, don't and don't.
We are saying that FC are better at some things (finances, youth system), and KR others (higher league position (2 years ago)). The fact is, both clubs are improving and trying to correct errors of previous years. Neither club at the moment can be called 'successful' but, IMO, FC have a greater chance of winning something (still a slim chance).

Biased and blinkered?
Can you quote me on where I said Rovers have better young English players? Can you quote me where I said Rovers have better Aussies?
Thought not.
Rovers are top dogs in the city because they have a superior derby record since their return to SL and gone further in the competition than us for 3 years running.
Rovers have a better coach than us based on what they have both achieved over the same time frame. I really don't think you'll find a fan of any other club who would think that Agar was better than Morgan.. Infact, I remember reading this forum the day Agar got his new contract and fans of other clubs were coming on here to pass on their sympathies and disbelief.
Look, come on here and slate Agar if you must, that's fair enough and a well-ploughed furrow. It gives you away that the vast majority of your 81 points to date are praising Rovers and slating Rule/Agar/season pass sales/value for money we get from players/Shaun Berrigan. Here is the evidence. You give yourself away, sir : Praising Rovers (including Fox, S Briscoe, Rovers have more ambition, were unlucky to lose the regular round derbies) 11 Criticising Agar 9 Criticising Rule/the board 7 Picking a fight with FC Wembley 08 6 Criticising the squad 5 Negative spin on season pass sales 5 Criticising youth development 3 Belittling Shaun Berrigan 3 Bigging up Willie Mason 2 Protesting you're not a Rovers fan 3 Belittling Reece Lyne 1 Belittling Danny Houghton 1 Bringing up Michael Crocker 1
You've referred to Rovers at least 3 times as "top dogs" now in this thread about Warrington's salary cap. I know you love them, but that level of self-indulgence is embarrassing.
