I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Satae won't be that much of a miss based on this year's performances. Had some great games over the years, but 8/9 carries a game just isn't worth the money he was probably looking for at this stage of his career.

Dwyer is the type of player we have needed, just not him. Too many erratic decisions in his game. Need somebody with his speed out of dummy half but with a lot more brains.

Swift is the main player I will be disappointed to lose.

Pretty much sums it up for me on all 3 players.

Satae, is a strange as I have a foot in both camps of disappointed & not to bothered. Yes he's very good on his day and when he ups his work rate. In reality for me he doesn't work hard enough or often enough in his stints on the field, he's also prone to defensive lapses. An average of under 10 carries a game is not nearly good enough either from one of the clubs main forwards.

Dwyer, has been a decent stop gap signing and has helped with speed and intensity at dummy half which we sadly lacked. However moving forward he is just not structured enough and too much of a headless chicken, granted he's created opportunities that we've scored from but for me he bombed just as many if not more by not being composed enough in his game.

Swift, be very disappointed if we do lose him which seems likely. He has been such a model pro and with a high level on consistency in performance both with and without the ball. He seems to have linked up well with Sutcliffe & Griffin on the left edge to which along with Clifford are starting to pose a genuine threat. No doubt he'll be difficult to replace with someone as good or better. Be nice is we can make a play to Catalan for Davies and tempt him to come here with as guaranteed a starting spot as possible as feel Catalans starters will likely be Johnstone & Yaha.

Been saying it for a while, as a team we have a bad habit of our forwards going hiding and not taking the ball in anywhere near enough. With Satae one of the worst culprits. Devastating on his day when he fancies it. But also very lazy and when your coming off the bench fresh and taking 2 carries in 30 minutes not good enough is it especially if asking for silly money.

I can see Smith trying to totally revamp and get a structure to our salary cap. Looks like he wont overpay on wages (trout) and will hopefully squeeze alot of value out of the cap, which weve not done for a long time.

I daresay Griffin and Taylor have been on lucrative contracts and will be offered much reduced 1 year deals, wonder if their egos will sign on the dotted line. Thats not an insult either just human nature.

For Taylor, I have wondered whether recent discussions about whether he should be given a new deal have maybe assumed too readily he’d want one. In part the speculation about Watts made me think on it.

Taylor isn’t one of those who you worry how they’ll cope with life after rugby, and he’s already been there and done it. Maybe he’s made other plans on the assumption he wouldn’t be offered anything (seemed unlikely he would be until recently, and even now you’d presumably want see it for a bit longer and against better opposition). Might want to get out while his body is not too battered.

If we can bring in Ashworth this season and if Savelio grabs the lifeline given to him by TS then having those 2 would make a big difference to our pack.

Wonder if Savelio is selected in this week's squad. Still think he'll be on his way

Probably is, but still seems wise to use him, particularly while we have things to play for.

Rest Lane this week and bring in Savelio.

If he could make peace with Smith, I'd love him to stay for a year or two, give us another quota place to play with.

I just get the feeling TS isn’t going to drop Lane?

Seems to really like him despite his poor form?

As for Ashworth. If Huddersfield want rid now and we want him now I don’t get why it seems to take so long to arrange?

Always seems to take us ages to get deals done, I suppose there is no rush, probably wouldn't play him this weekend as we are pretty healthy and squad is playing pretty well, he isn't cup tied which is a bonus.

Still can't believe Hudds aren't at full cap with their squad, thought they would have to release someone to sign Milner, I suppose Hewitt has gone out on loan again, not sure how loan deals work on the cap?

Ian Watson all but confirming what we already know in that it looks like Ashworth will be joining us imminently

Is it just me or does Watson always sound bitter when a player decides to leave. Said similar things about Trout
