Same as me, would be a great signing in the short term, but long term think we need to be looking at better... unless we sign Brough move Horne to Fullback and sign a top NRL no 6.

I am not so sure we will get a SH next season. We may end up going for a SO from overseas and playing Horne alongside him.

On Brough I always liked him at Hull, he can be hit and miss and does have his faults but he is better than Thorman and is a genuine no.7.

Brough game seems to have improved in the last two years, Agar also had him at York and was heavily involved in bringing him to Hull (I Think).

I like you would love to see a top class 7 been signed but have doubts that it will happen, so maybe this wouldn't be a bad thing.

If he signs we need to send big on a top FB or SO.

We let Brough go because we had one of the best young half-back pairings around in Richard Horne and Paul Cooke (sorry but its true)

We also had a freak of a hooker who played 80 mins every game and tackled like a machine.

Brough was surplus to requirements at the time. He has certainly improved since the time he stuck at cas in NL1 because he couldn't get a SL contract.

If Hudds have offered 100k for Brough would this suggest that they have cooled on the Finch prospect, and what happens to Robinson?
If we were to go for Brough at 100k it should be in our range as we have saved the 70k on Reardon.
I'd take him if there wasn't anybody better available, but I'd go 'all in' for a top class Oz for next year, hopefully we are in with a shout on Finch.

Finch wont be signing for any club in this country, he signed for Melbourne Storm and made his debut this weekend against New Zealand Warriors.

Think Reardon was £50k?

Not sure how much we may have saved on Byrne or how much cap space that freed up.
