can't imagine his wages would be that high, and he can also cover at hooker and would no doubt want to get into the coaching side of things.

He'd jump at the chance to come for 6 months and try to earn a longer deal.

Agreed - for THIS season. But NOT on a longer deal. I can't believe that people who've been bellyaching about the proportion of average squad players on 2 year deals we have would be backing a longer than 6 month contract for Webster. As for the "cover at hooker" argument, we have Lee and Houghton tied up for next year as cover for Berrigan, maybe Hodgson as well.
