As long as the players improve and kick on, the team standings are fairly irrelevant imo.

Totally agree. Its about development at that level and lets be honest, 17 year olds vs 20 year olds will be a difference, but they will also learn faster.

I was thinking the other day, who contested in last seasons reserves GF and who won?

Both reserve and Grand Finals were contested by Wigan v Saints
Wigan beat Saints 32 - 10 in the reserve final
Saints beat Wigan 31 - 24 in the academy final.

I see the report says Whiting came through the game 'relatively unscathed'. Can we really be any vaguer than that?
