It's also fair to say that we don't know what saving we're making when buying a pass at the moment. The value for me was to get my reserved seat and the convenience that goes with it but anyone who goes "unreserved" with perhaps the possibility of missing a couple of games during the year because of holidays etc isn't going to save that much. It could be that one or two are also thinking that missing ,say, Salford , London and maybe Widnes is no great loss so then paying for the rest on the day would probably make the annual cost around the same as buying a pass without paying it out up front. If we go well on the field we'll get some decent walk ups especially for the non televised "top" club fixtures but will suffer on the rest. Maybe a case for having A and B grade prices though that will no doubt upset some passholders? Difficult.
You make some very good points for me as an outsider. Do any clubs do the grading structure in SL? I know pretty much every football team does it and it does seem a good way to get people in and a fair way. Maybe SL clubs should look at doing it.
