The appointment of Radford, McNamara, Cooke or any combination of them as our head coach would surely be the final straw for many I would imagine. The fact that they were born locally does not alter the fact that not one of them has the right credentials for the job IMO. I have always thought that making Radford an assistant coach was a gamble but a way to remove him and his wages from the playing roster/salary cap. The abiding memory i have of him as captain was being stood under the posts after we had conceded yet another try, hands on his hips making no attempt to rally the team, hardly an inspiring figure to be our new head Coach! Cooke firstly has next to no coaching experience at a professional level and secondly left us high and dry mid season for reasons unknown to sign for our beloved neighbours. He then spent the next few years relishing every opportunity to gloat and rub the faithful's nose in it, I therefore cannot imagine him uniting the club! As for McNamara he was an absolute disaster at Bradford, and has been unable to produce a consistent or entertaining England side despite having the best of Super League to select from! He continually selects players on reputation rather than form, try's to put square pegs in round holes and ignores the form half back in Super League due to what appears to be a personal dislike/grudge. I personally hope that he never has any role to play at Hull FC. If Pearson does decide to sack Gentle then the appointment of his successor would undoubtedly be the single most important decision he has had to make since buying the club and one he simply cannot afford to get wrong!
