Dwyer was what we needed to bring some speed following the last few seasons and in fairness he started off doing a decent job.
I’ve been critical of Houghton and the performances put in the over the last year or two as well as the coaches that have kept him on for 80mins. However I’ve have also given him praise for his performances of late which have been a part of the recent upturn in the teams performances.
For me Dwyer whilst he can indeed be an attacking threat is far too often taking the wrong option, going to the wrong side and his performances since the start of the season haven’t been as good as they should.
Houghton isn’t the answer however at present he is is the better option we have.
Dwyer has been really disappointing, I can think of good runs, Cas home, Warrington away and Wakey away, costs us much more times. Houghton has been miles better, whilst he won't make a clean break like Dwyer does every 6 games, he makes better choices, makes good scoots, backs up well and can tackle.
His efforts on Hill and Vaughen were outstanding, really tarflgeeting them.
Having a good season, but still think it's time to retire, one season too many, just have to find a suitable replacement.
