The club were absolutely right to deny Warrington's request, as Wire would be if the situation was reversed, it wasn't up to us to correct another club's mistake.
We could be accused of trying to steal an advantage from the situation, but quite frankly so would every other club in this scenario. If a club, any club, can exploit a situation for their own gain then, invariably, they will, they would be stupid not too. This isn't a kickabout between mates down the park on a Sunday afternoon, it's professional sport, which is a cut throat business.
Do unto others as they would do unto you is probably the best way to sum this up. I don't think any modern day sporting organization is in a position to start claiming the moral high ground in situations such as this.
