| Thing is, clubs may have benefactors, but their core businesses will also be suffering now and they’ll have employees who need paying.
Protecting the business which gives them an income will be their priority, not expenditure on rugby clubs.
Whatever type of games comes back to us, it will be dramatically different to what we’ve known.

| Quote ccs="ccs"That wouldn't surprise me.
However, SL and the club in particular, are on the brink, and people seem to think it's business as usual. Crazy.
Survival might mean a squad which bears little resemblance to today's.
That will depend on how realistic the players are. The cracks are already starting to appear.
The only saving grace is that all clubs are in the same boat (apart, unfortunately, for 3 or 4).
So the strong will get even stronger, and the rest of us will struggle to compete.
Exactly, Just having a Club to support at the end of this will be a bonus!
There will be a few players moved on by Hull FC in the next few months. If Clubs can afford a fee , they will be sold .
Hope I've got this totally wrong, but......'"

Then they’d better sell face masks as they’ll be compulsory. Some patterns or logos would look great

Im usually a Pearson fan but ive found his recent comments to be very blinkered and selfish.
Yes we have a 25k ground and crowds are generally 10-12k so fans could sit apart, but what happens at half time when everyone rushes to the toilets and bar? What happens at the final hooter? How do you deal with hundreds queuing at Walton Street crossing when the gates are down. Its not manageable.
He also forgetting a lot of clubs dont have big grounds, that you need stewards, medics, police etc to put a game on and while Hull has had a low rate of infection do we really want a thousand or so away fans coming to visit and bringing the virus with them?
I want to get back watching my team as much as anyone, and understand the game cant survive without gate money, but saying we can be back in the ground on July 1st is ridiculous.

| With the KC and arranged seating surely we could get a certain number of fans in (season ticket holders?) and they still be socially distanced? Same with the KC bars - barriered socially distanced queues could also work. And ban away fans

I agree.
I don't like the idea of a Wednesday game
3rd 4th or 5th would be much better

Keeping it to season ticket holders doesnt bring in any extra money though, it just avoids having to give partial refunds for missed games but im not sure where things stand on that front.

| It's nonsense to suggest that we'll be attending games from 1st July.
How on Earth do you organise people sitting in alternative seats - aside from the fact that you'd still have people within two metres of you. Plus as UllFC says there's the congregation of people before and after the game. It's far, far more challenging than allowing a couple of dozen people in a pub or restaurant.
It's more likely that we won't have supporters allowed this year.
