Takairangi was one of TS’s signings. He not only played him after his driving episode but also when his performances did not warrant a place in the team. However rubbish he played he was only excluded when injured.

I think we need to keep one of Savelio or Griffin (I'd personally keep both) if not I think it would be a big mistake, as we already need another backrower so that would mean we need 3.

As you say, “If true”.

There is a difference between tearing up a contract and not renewing one. The gap is narrowed a bit if an offer is withdrawn, admittedly.

I think a lot will depend on whether or not TS believes one of those words was “cheat”. If he does, then by extension, he must believe that the defence presented to the MRP was untrue. That’s the sort of thing I can imagine him being quite uncomfortable with.

On the other hand, if Griffin is telling the truth and he didn’t call Kendall a cheat, he (Griffin) has been harshly treated.

How can fans say he has been harshly treated without being privy to all conversations that have taken place or without knowing all the facts?

There could be a hundred and one reasons why the offer has been withdrawn.

Maybe they are fed up of waiting for an answer or risk missing out on another target?

Maybe TS thinks he can’t be trusted and would rather go with someone who can be?

Rumour was he was joining Huddersfield anyway. Maybe he has been playing one off against the other to try and get a better contract?

As I say there are many scenarios and I have no idea what the reasons are but I know I trust TS and at the end of the day these things happen.

TA will have made a judgement over the year, not just one incident.
There’s no evidence a contract was ever offered in the first place.

Plus wasn’t it Griffin who told Hodgson to eff off in training and went home? I’ve no evidence of that but, if true, maybe things like that are taken into consideration?

The culture has been poor for years now, including when we won two challenge cups. Whatever TS needs to do to put a good culture and foundation in place, he needs to be given free reign to do it. Looks like AP has given him that remit.
