Hopefully the days of relying on individual players, rather than systems and processes will be a thing of the past (irrespective of Jake staying or not)
Corey Norman could be available to play at 6, although he was a bit hit and miss and Toulouse...did like to wind opposition players up though so we'd still have that if Jake left...
If you get rid of your best player who is of that rare commodity a maverick and X factor if wayward player (that just wants harnessing by a proper coach) it is a hard one to cover whoever you sign. there are so few such players around the British game.
Would be an odd swap (Connor for Wardle) but if Connor is going, it's a great player to be getting from Hudds. Not sure how we can fit 3 centres in the 13, but Hodgson managed 8 hookers!
Since Connor signed we've finished 3rd, 6th, 6th, 6th, 8th then 9th. There's a very clear direction that we're heading. Tony Smith can get rid of the lot of them if his way will start heading us back in the right direction.

8th and 9th. Hate to think where we would have finished without Connor.

This season he's mainly only turned up against bottom 6 opposition we'd have beaten anyway. The trick passes against Toulouse are good fun to watch but I expect the clubs highest earners to make a difference in big games that matter and for me he hasnt done that for a while now.
Connor for Wardle plus some extra cap space is a good deal for Hull. Connor's a talented ball player but his defence is awful, his attitude is poor and Hull simply can't trust him to perform well consistently.
It would be a gamble but a wise one. Griffin and Taylor should be next.

I’m prepared to give Tony Smith free reign to do whatever it takes to get this team playing as a team.
If that means losing Connor then so be it.
Wardle was a fantastic centre a couple of years ago and not sure what happened to him in the meantime. If he joins then let’s see what Smith can do with him.
