Thought Williams & Drinkwater were bloody awful tonight.
Big win regardless for the unwashed though.

I've said all season the key to beating rovers is tk slow them down. Let them get a roll on and they probably win. Wire just didn't look up for the game from the off. Probably thought it would be easy on the back of 2 big wins.

Fair play to Rovers on a great win. Their recruitment has been very good over the last few years with far more hits than misses. Hull need to take note of this.

I thought they'd come undone last night but if they beat Catalans at Magic I can see them finishing second and with a home play off semi you'd back them to reach the Grand Final.

We might need to find a new song for the next time we play them. "You haven't won at Wembley since 1980" doesn't fit the tune.

BTW there's nothing wrong with praising Rovers if they are doing well, as hard to take as it is.

Surely saying anything positive about rovers means you support them and only here to be subversive?

Lewis is currently the best player in SL, crazy to think some fans say they wouldnt have him at Hull.

Would love to see him have a cracking at the NRL.

I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.

Money doesn't talk it swears, Obscenity who really cares, Propaganda all is phony.

I'm the son and heir of a shyness which is criminally vulgar.

Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way.

Rovers were highly charged and committed right from the kick-off last night and it knocked wire completely out of kilter. If rovers are allowed to dictate a game they become difficult to break down, they put a lot into the opening twenty minutes of games and tend to use that initial momentum to frame the remaining sixty minutes. They have disarmed a number of sides this way this season, but it is noticeable that when matched for intensity they become nowhere near as effective (Wigan, C.Cup semi for example).

It's clearly now a three-horse race for the season-end prizes, rovers will be in the mix but it will ultimately come down to which of the three bring their A-game onto the pitch when the biggest games arrive. If rovers can do that, then they have a shout at lifting silverware for the first time since...!
But that still remains the major question surrounding them, can they pull out the big performance when it truly matters? It's a question which will only be answered when the moment arrives. Failure to do so will result in the smell of 'so near but so far' continuing to hang around them.

I'm going for a Wigan-rovers GF, but still suspect that when push comes to shove Wigan's greater big-match experience will see them over the line as winners, and that is despite their recent Fc-induced stumble!!

The problem for teams like Rovers and to a lesser extent Wire is beating Saints and especially Wigan when it really matters in big games because their intensity, mentality, focus and execution are generally always on point which makes it so difficult to match.

Saints are interesting. Not in great form but have a lot out injured. If they come back for the business end of the season they could ruffle some feathers

I'm black and white through and through, have a look back at my posts over the years and it's obvious. I'll call out the club when I see things I don't like or disagree with. I've been proved right many times on here when the majority have disagreed, going back to calling out Jimmy rule when everyone thought the sun shone out of his ass, through to how bad a coach radford was. If people can't handle someone criticising the club they're in the wrong place.

I was calling out Jimbob Rule well before you.
