So who do you blame for the way Craig hall has been treated???

Can you tell me the difference between CH and Chris Thorman???

Craig was dropped to the reserves because of a lack of confidence so why hasn't thorman had the same treatment when the coach has even come out and said he lacked confidence and at Leeds they took him off at half time for his own good???
so that's it then? The craig hall thing is the only thing wrong?? In that case I agree, it is all agars fault!!!

Player attitude is an example of something that isn't all agars fault though.

Erm, no.

All I was implying was that he has a reputation of being an impact prop and let's face it, our pack needs to be doing the basics before thinking about impact. IMO Cusack is our only front rower that has good go forward. Dowes hits the line and stops, Thackray bounces of and runs sideways (if he manages to hold the ball) and King thinks he's a half back. I would also like to see Maloney and Moa given a decent opportunity.

But your point is still redundant, you're putting the cart before the horse. He won't be affected by whether our pack is on top, because the very reason he will be there is to help get our pack on top. Him doing his job is independent of the rest of the pack doing theirs. Whether it's enough and the backs feed off any platform he provides is another question entirely.

Long aand fitzgibbon were top drawer players in their prime but both are far off their prime. Everyone is bigging up lauaki and hardly anyone has seen him play. He'll end up like manu - given the ball standing still and expected to perform miracles. tansey is a decent young player but the fact leeds have sold him for £30k shows how good he really is in the grand scheme of things.

You forgot to add in radford and cusack

I'll make a prediction here - doesn't matter who we sign, we'll still be shiite next season with agar in charge

Considering Carvell was rumoured to be sold for circa £50k with a longer contract remaining IIRC, I'd actually say that doesn't reflect too badly at all on Tansey.

One of them has ability. The other's playing for us every week.

We were forced into a corner with carvell. £50k didn't reflect his true market value

He may be a poor coach, I have seen him at training and I listen to what people within the club and the game as a whole say about him. Our style of rugby has improved slightly in the last few weeks. And certainly if it doesn't get better when players come back then I will agree that he has to go, but no matter how much he tries he is still left with the deadwood that his predecessors have left him. No matter who came in last year there needs to be a clearout of players and due to contractual commitments we couldn't do that at the end of last season.
This season is a different matter though, he has cap space to negotiate early termination of some contracts and has already made 4 good signings in Lauaki, long, fitzgibbon and tansey. Add to that retention of washy, briscoe and Burnett and there already is half "his" team next year.
To summarize, I am willing to wait and see what happens for the rest of this year and the off season to truly judge his all round management.
And while some of your points I agree with, your refusal to accept that there are some mitigating circumstances and laying "all" the blame at Agars feet IMO is naive.

I've said plenty of times that agar is operating in difficult circumstances, but that's when great leaders show their mettle. agar has shown nothing to me, and many others, to suggest that he has the ability to coach a group of people to achieve their maximum potential.

Do you honestly believe that he is getting the best out of the players he has available to him?
