Advice is what we seek when we already know the answer - but wish we didn't

What about Ellis to prop? Happy to keep Manu & Ticks as our starting 2nd rowers tbh.
Or we could try something really radical (and yes, I know it's not in the nature of this board) and wait until we have a better idea of all the ins & outs for the squad, then we can spend the winter letting PG know who he should be selecting and in what positions?
Hull FC owner Adam Pearson has labelled the signing of NRL star Gareth Ellis as the club’s mark of intent to be a leading club in Europe.
“This signing shows we are true to our word that we want to take this club to the next level and challenge for honours consistently over the coming years,” he said.
“For far too long now, Hull FC have been languishing in the lower reaches and with a limit to their ambition and a failure to compete with the big sides.
“Our intention is to have the club back in a position to do that again as soon as possible and the only way we can do that is by investing in the squad and signing players of Gareth’s calibre.”

Ellis is one of the best second rows around. He isn't necessarily a 'game breaker' but he makes the whole Wests pack look a lot better when he plays. Ignore anybody trolling about the standard he is.
He's also a genuine 'big name' signing who is very unlikely to give anything less than 100%, so in many ways he's the sort of player Hull can build a team around.
Personally I think its great that he's signed for Hull - I want SL to be as competitive as possible across the board, and Hull have more potential than most sides to be challenging for honours on a regular basis.
That said though, it has been extremely pleasing and refreshing for me to work with a player and an agent on a deal where money hasn’t been the major incentive.
To the tune of the Torres song sung by Liverpool (i'm sure someone can come up with better words)
He came to Hull to win the lot ELLIS ELLIS He came to Hull to win the lot ELLIS ELLIS He signed the deal, the plane is booked He told the Rhinos go get fooked ELLIS ELLIS fC's no.1

I don't imagine we will make too many changes next year I can see 3/4 at the most. Providing they are in the right areas then I think we can really push on. Even though it's an area I think we can improve I don't see us making any changes to the halves. I think it will be prop and centre where we look to strengthen.
I just hope this inspires the fans to start coming back, that's the only realy negative at the moment for AP, I think he had hoped numbers would be increasing quicker than they are.
