Too early to right Fonua off, I know he hasn't been great, but not many have. We know he can be a very good player, low on confidence, needs dropping for next week

He doesnt look fit which is inexcusable. Can understand a bit of muscle loss during lockdown as they didnt have the specialist gym equipment to use, but the governement allowed excerise throughout so Cardio was possible, and surely the club would have funded equipment to be delivered to players homes if needed. He was never the fastest but looked painfully slow yesterday.

Also needs to sort his hair out, spends a lot of the game tying it up or flicking it out his face, its a competitive sport not a catwalk and you dont need distractions like that.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

So you believe there's enough money in the pot to sign the best coach available? No chance.
Last is the only affordable option.

No disciplinary issues for us this week thankfully, just Andre Savelio cautioned for raising a knee.

Peter Mata’utia has been given a two match penalty notice for a dangerous lift and will miss both games against us, Super League next week and the Cup the week after.

No mention of the shoulder charge by Lannon?

Ive read it.I especially like the quote from AP:

“The best way of us looking financially strong in December now is to win some games and to win some games at home”.

And the best way of winning games is by getting a proper coach in. Catch 22 eh?!

What part of the argument that we haven't got any money to spend on coaches or players don't you understand?

You sound like the kind of guy who believes in doubling up when you lose at roulette. Good luck.

I am with oooh Gravy on this. It is a catch22.
If Last cannot turn things around by the end of this season (and I sincerly hope he can) then were are as good as done, unless we get a decent coach who can turn us around.

The question is, how much could we lose by keeping A Last if he fails?
Is what we could perhaps lose, be more than what we would need to pay for a successful coach?
The cost of failure could/would last for quite a few years.

I recon we could well lose a couple of thousand season members anyway regardless of how well we do or don't do. (just my wild guess)
I doubt there would be much IAKOW next year.
So we would be depending on walk ups to keep us alive.
