If we did get him (still don't think we will!) and there was a chance to get him in this year then I'd be jumping at it. Not with a view of him actually doing much this year, but just to give him a chance to take a look at the players this year and see if there's any he would like to move on, clearing some deadwood basically, before we start 2025 with them already on the books.
I would imagine he would know who needs moving on anyway, bringing him in early could work if the fan base got behind him. Its jjst far too toxic at FC at the moment, zero patience from the fan base. A few bad results they would be on his back, nothings changed bla bla.
The sooner people realise this isnt an overnight fix the better in my view. I just cant help but feel we knock everything down we are trying to build.
I dont think he will come, id be surprised if any good players or top coaches would want this gig regardless of the money involved. Far too toxic, your talking about a club that is so far distance from its supporters and broke so many players and coaches.
I like everyone want a wand to wave overnight fix it but we saw last year with the calibre of players leaving to what come through the door. Nobody wants to touch this club with a barge pole at the moment, believe you that.
It would have to be serious money for Rowley to even think about coming here.
