Think he would be a good signing, 28, so not old amd hopefully not young enough to have an NRL clause. Knows Hoy and I'm sure him and Clifford would tell the club what he is like on and off the field

Should be more doable with Tex Hoy at Hull, Clune and he are ex Newcastle team mates arent they?

New member here HI ALL I think my only concern which may sound daft with Clune having watched some of his time in the NSW cup is he lacks a bit of presence near the line, we have seen this season that Clifford appears to have that more commanding presence and near the line he's fairly big and strong for a stand off, I am a big believer however in TS so whoever he brings in will be well worth the wait IMO. Clune does have a turn of pace too which is a positive

So thinking WAY far ahead to next season and taking all current leavers into account we are looking likely to have the below 17 as best available so far (I've left some positions open as these will be for new recruits) Given that we have lost some real star quality this still doesn't look like a bad line up at all and with a few key additions and TS continuing with improving the team's attitude and culture we will continue on the upward trajectory IMO. Thoughts?

I haven't included any of the academy players but there's likely one or two of these to feature regularly in the below... Staveley, Gardiner, Litten, Armstrong?

Glad the club are taking their time. Different to other years when they’ve rushed to get their business done.

Sounds like they want another general, which will give Trueman a more free reign.
Don’t think we’ll be able to replace like for like, so it may be a case of swapping one attribute for another one, i.e. swap Clifford’s strength near the line for some pace off the mark?

I trust in TS’s judgement. Doesn’t look like we’ll sign players for the sake of it.

Yeah, we need someone to stay for 2-3 years, don't want to be back at square one this time next year.
