So, would you still have Washbrook in front of Rich then?????

No I wouldn't but then there are very few players I would choose above Whiting and most of them are Australian Internationals , I never rated Washy but to be fair he is actually doing well at Wakey, of course Wakey are not but he is...

I think the point he's making is that there were several posters who did rate Washbrook more highly than Whiting. I had many an argument about it on here a few years ago. Not sure if EHFCF was one of them, but they certainly existed.

Oh right, I never really rated Washy and he was certainly never in Whitings class (but few are) but it would have been interesting to see how Washy went under Gentle, the man certainly appears to know how to get the best out of players.

I can't actually remember, I don't think Whiting came into any of my discussions about Washbrook playing 13.
My argument with Washy was that people were slagging him off when he was playing 6, which I thought was unfair considering he was always a 13 and never was someone who could control a game. We had Radford playing 13 at the time too!

When Washy first played he had far more promise than Whiting at loose, he could have easily been (under a different coach) our Sinfield.

Which is why I was surprised he followed Agar to Wakey. The guy pretty much ruined any potential he had.

I disagreed with that view at the time and I certainly disagree now. Washbrook has found his level. He could have been coached by Wayne Bennett and he still wouldn't be fit to lace Sinfield's boots. Whiting always looked a much better player to me, and that has proven to be the case.

Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

Disagree....when we got Whiting,he had 13 wrote all over him imo and Washbrook was a 1 trick pony with the show and step off left foot, where as Whiting had a damn sight more to his game.Washbrook has found his level at Wakey.

My memory may be going but I haven't seen Whiting have a better game than Washys best game at loose for us.

In his first 2 seasons Washy was superb.
