Always remember John Gallagher and that great try he set up for us against Leeds in the Premiership Semi in 1991.
For me it has to be Kemble of the players I have actually seen play. Not a single player has ever got any where near him since.
I started watching in 76 and George Robinson was my first hero. Some years later I actually played against him and was over the moon to be on the same pitch as him. (how many "stars" will be playing amateur rugby in the future after a pro career)
For those who dismiss these kinds of threads I say the following.
Younger supporters reading about Keegan, Oliver, Kemble and seeing them nominated might actually feel inspired to read about them and actually learn about our history. Thats what this year is all about. However they learn about those players can only be good. So a thread where we all put our thoughts down is great and serves a great purpose.
Equally with at least one particular site I know having a vast archive of games going back decades, people might actually want to look these players up and see for themselves.
They are though pointless when it comes to votes as we will only vote for the star of our generation. So much so I wouldn't be surprised to see Motu getting more votes than Keegan or Oliver
