The tone of the HDM coverage and Pearson's comments on finances changed a bit as the year went on - but from looming crisis to very challenging rather than all fixed.

Cap I think, worryingly we seem to be at full cap.

Probably not using the Marquee rule though.

In saying this, there's a couple people on the Newcastle Forum that seem adamant that they have Brooks for next season, which will in effect mean we have Clifford. Fingers crossed something can be arranged soon

Most reports from Oz suggest that Clifford is now on the outside at the Knights and they are keen to offload him whether they sign someone or not.

That said I can’t understand what the holdup would be unless he is hoping for an NRL gig somewhere else?

Saw some comments online from Newcastle fans saying they’d doubt Clifford would stay there, even if Brooks didn’t end up there.

I've been checking his Instagram to see if he was following any of our players. But that's a really good spot
