As you say it doesn't look good for Salford considering the rebuttals and statement that Dupree was going nowhere etc after the Trust reached its target figure. With the move of Dupree to Wigan with immediate effect closely followed out the door by Longstaff it seems they are indeed cutting their financial outlay, granted Longstaff was a Wire player but seems timing wise Salford may have cancelled the loan deal.
If Ackers was/is on the clubs radar as a replacement for Houghton then as cold as it may seem I'd hope we've approached Salford and tested their resolve.
