Believed to have been allowed to go on holiday for a couple of weeks but contract not being renewed and the two parties are parting amicably. Or at least so the story goes! It makes some sense of the incoming Halifax Coach stuff as well.

Was fearing that. Not good news. Can’t buy influence like that at a club. Guess we trust Tony though…

There has to be a good reason he doesn't get his contract renewed, great players don't always make great coaches.

Be sad to see him leave the club though.

After watching Hull since ‘78 I can honestly say he’s my favourite player I’ve seen in black and white.

Don’t think he’s ever seemed comfortable in the roles he’s had though.

Good luck to him, will be a sad day when he leaves.

It will be a shame but nothing lasts forever and his roles since retirement have been a little vague.

He had influence as a player. As a coach I’m not so sure. Been plenty of hammerings while he’s been on the coaching staff & the players certainly never seem inspired when he comes on under the posts after a try.
