It really annoys me that we get idiots that think it's funny throwing bottles of beer still, I'm hoping that cctv will sort them out and see them banned from all grounds, but don't think of us all like that, as we know 99% of fans are there for the love of there team, 5000 Rovers there and a handful of idiots.
Oddly, we look reminiscent of them in 2016. No fight, no backbone, no commitment, liable to collapse under the slightest pressure.
Rovers were relegated in 2016 after sliding, imperceptibly, backwards over a 3/4 year period without heeding the warning signs, ultimately paying the price.
We are where we are right now due to errors made over the past 3/4 years (coaching, recruitment) and we are still going backwards. Wakefield are currently our safety net, but if they were to pull a win out of somewhere the alarm bells really will start to ring.
I don't believe it will come to that, but something clearly stinks around the club. No one is saying that this squad should challenging for the title, but it certainly should not be serving up the level of dross we have witnessed this past month.
"I don't believe it will come to that"
That's the attitude that will see us in potential trouble
Apart from saints, wigan, catalan and wire
The gap between the rest is minimal
We can't defend and can't score much last few games either
If Wakefield beat us in a few weeks and we haven't improved by then it will be squeaky bum time

The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if anyone will actually go down though, I think its likely Fev will be told their ground isnt good enough and it doesnt sound like IMG are too keen on international teams so Tolouse may find some random reasons for a no.
Don’t be childish. You or I have no idea if this is as good as it gets. Only time will tell. I do however feel that Willie Peters has more chance of taking us to the next level this year than Tony Smith has of halting FC’s decline. If resources are the criteria then your lack of money, technical insolvency, lack of reserve/academy players making a breakthrough, seem to put you at a disadvantage. We have demonstrated our improved strength in depth this year, many of our squad players outside the first 17 leave even your first 17 in the shade. I accept that we have to demonstrate a consistent ability to compete with the top teams but only in the Cats away did we come up a bit short of a possible win. Three head injuries did not help. FC on the other hand can hardly compete with the bottom teams.
We miles ahead I reserves, academy and Scholarship, that's the one positive at the club at the moment.
In the history of SL, only Bradford, Leeds, Saints and Wigan have consistently won things, yhats because there success and squad was built in academy players.
You and other clubs are still miles off that, evidenced by not one player in your 17 coming through your own academy (Lewis was COHA).
You will beat top sides, now and again, but you have to win something or no one remembers, you had some decent years under Morgan including beating us in the play offs, but I've no idea what year that was or who knocked you out.
Best you can hope for is a cup final win, but until you get your youth right, you won't complete year in year out with the likes of Saints and Wigan.

We have them as well BF. I go to derby home games because I'm a passholder but stopped going to CP because of the behaviour of both sets of fans. Some are that p#ssed or drugged up that they can hardly stand let alone watch the game.
We have had much darker times than this, enjoy this Keith, because this is probably as good as it gets, you haven't the resources or the youth set up to compete with the top teams consistently.
We don’t have the resources? We’re now the richest club in the SL.
2016 has been mentioned and you’re all correct to do so.
If any of you hull fans don’t think you’re in a relegation battle then you’re burying your heads in the sand.

Keith.
You've been a member of RL fans for 10 years during this period we have won silverware and Rovers have suffered the ignominy of relegation yet you've only started posting on this forum for the last couple of years.

Any proof of you being the richest club?
Resources I'm talking about is more than. money, reputation, training facilities and successful youth set up.
Wogan and Saints are succesful, so the players demand more money or move to the NRL, they survive as they bring in the next player, Welsby and Dodd for Coote and Fages for example. Rovers aren't in that position yet.
We are definitely in a relegation battle, most Hull fans recognise this, not sure what point you are trying to make.
