I'd maybe be having a look at Daniel Smith at Cas, can't imagine he'd be too expensive and would be a decent replacement for Evans (should he leave) he'd be a decent 4th/5th choice prop with a good offload and decent go forward.

I think the only player I'd sign from Cas Currently would be Evalds but We're covered in that Fullback position . Unless sign him as a winger .

With the dearth of good props at the club you advise signing someone to be 4/5th choice?

To replace Evans until Laidlaw is ready for full time SL yes, I can't see Evans staying and Taylor looks done.

There is little point in replacing mediocrity with mediocrity. The aim of any signing is to improve the squad. If you only consider him to be 4/5th choice then he cannot be improving your squad as the 3 you consider to be above him are poor. What does that say about him?

Obviously a major overhaul is needed, but there are only handful of quota places to be filled.
The problem may arise, if there aren't a lot of available home grown players to replace players who are OOC, so the reliant will be on young players, who may not be ready for SL.
Then, I hope that James Clark is not negotiating contracts again, he might renew more 3 year deals.
