One of the most successful coach in SL, yet the armchair coaches claim the game has past him by. Getting rid wont solve the problem, no other head coach cant do more with this squad and budget. You wont get it into them though.

I don’t disagree that the rebuild is a huge task and doubt many others would however what does concern me is that irrespective of budget, line speed, discipline, on field organisation etc isn’t something that should be affected by budgets large or small.

Smith with all his experience and coaching pedigree has been in charge long enough to have made some form of impression/improvement and given us an identity. Yet we have seen little if any improvement in so many facets of the game since he replaced Hodgson.

We yet again were the engineers of our own downfall and almost did everything we could to give the game away and in the end got out of jail somehow.

To say no other coach could do more with this squad and budget is questionable as I dare say Rowley and Salfiord are an example of a team that has a limited budget and again lost key onfield personnel yet still look an organised snd well coached team.

Whilst there’s mitigating circumstances with the loss of players in bans and injuries that’s not an excuse for the same failings we see that even after a large degree of player turnover since last season.
I’m not saying TS should be sacked but think it’s fair that fans question things under his tenure based on the evidence so far.

Now, sadly to say I will use those winnings to place on the first coach in Super League to lose their job.

Some Manchester United fans too.
I get that the fan base have a cross spectrum of population but some of the doom and gloom is Eastenders quality.

Did you not feel and hear the crowd. The tension and the pressure the players were under.
It must suck the life out of the players.
Get behind them ! There were kids out there today.
There’s a clear and obvious reason why Houghton is playing 9at the moment .. if some folk on here can’t understand why then you really need to think about it…
We are playing with a weakened pack !!!
Getting pinged at marker would be worse if Houghton was not there…

I feel like a parrot on here.
If folk think dropping Lane and moving Nu Brown to 9 with our current team then we’d be nil from 3.
The amount of defensive work these two bring.
Nu brown is playing for fc not the kiwis.
Wait till we get a more representative team on the pitch.
