| Hope we've got a few irons in the fire still.
We've chased hard and tried to act quickly to get Rowley. Just hope he we were negotiating with other coaches at the same time

| Well my last post aged well! So much for a statement of intent!
Disappointing that we haven't landed him if he was our number one target. Can't help but wonder if this all playing out in the media has somewhat backfired. If that was Myler's doing, here's hoping he's learned a harsh lesson very quickly. If Pearson or Clark were involved... well you would think they would know better by now. That's if it was anything to do with the club of course.
So who do we go for now? And do we have to readjust our targets (both the club and us fans)? Are we attractive enough at the moment to draw someone away from their current role (whatever that is) or do we need to be looking at someone out of work?

| Got to go NRL now. I'd make a play for Josh Hannay. Briers may be an option if he feels ready

| "Leigh Leopards are delighted to confirm the signing of Darnell McIntosh from Hull FC in a swap deal that sees Tom Briscoe return to Humberside for a second spell with the Black and Whites.
McIntosh, 26, was in his third year at Hull, having joined the club from Huddersfield Giants at the end of the 2021 season. A highly talented and versatile back, who can play fullback, winger, or centre, he has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract."

| Hang on, just reading into it a bit more and it seems that it's Salford that have rejected us and not Rowley himself. So is it possibly still on if we agree a higher compensation fee or Rowley potentially resigns?

| Well it was fun while it lasted
On reading he HDM no sure what to make of it as to whether Rowleys rejected the chance or it’s Salford. They do have a habit of saying the opposite and saying no one is going anywhere then hey presto. If I were an employer I’d be disappointed that someone had extensive talks with another company in the first place if they weren’t that interested in moving.
If Rowley has decided against a move due to not wanting to uproot his family then for me he wasn’t the right fit for the club as we need someone totally committed. Though it does sound more a case of Salford rejecting it than Rowley ala Dupree etc.
Guess we’ll tune in tomorrow for the next episode of the soap opera that is Hull FC.

| Still a statement of intent in that we’re prepared to pay a fee. A large one at that.
All the noise has come from outside the club. I’m happy that it shows that investment is incoming.
I’d also like Briers or Hannay.

| I can't believe there's people on Twitter who think any other coaching options will now not be interested because they weren't Hull's first choice.
This isn't picking your side for a kick about in the playground, it's a head coach job at a top flight rugby team. We could get down to our 4th choice and somebody would still snap our hands off for the job.

| If Rowley wanted the job he would have taken it and so would Ian Watson when he turned you down.
Incredible naivety from Myler to make it so public that Rowley was number one choice without having any idea if he would accept.
