I just hope we kick on from here, make the right investment off the field (it seems the on the field stuff is pretty much sealed for next season anyway) and we get the FC we all hope and pray for, if AP makes a few quid along the way then fair enough, he's rolled the dice to the tune of £3m(ish) so far.

If he has an opinion that he chooses to express on a discussion forum, he can expect people to challenge it, can't he? Isn't that what the board is there for? I've not seen anyone suggesting that finger nails are pulled out, or anything like it. The most unreasonable comment I've seen is:

"You are a complete muppet and you know nothing, the most ridiculous statement EVER,"

But you'll always get people making such comments.

By and large, the response seems to have been quite reasonable.

Having read through the statement on the Hull website, its clear Pearson is a man on a mission to bring improvements and success to Hull FC.

I can understand one or two having some concerns with regard to the Allams connection, however in reality unless there is clear evidence that they start poking their noses in, just let that concern simmer in the back ground for a while and enjoy the fact that the club has at last got a new direction to go in. At the end of the day, Pearson has stumped up his money to buy the club. Its within all of our interests to back him for th time being.

FWIW, I reckon Agar has until the end of this season. If by some act of god we end up winning the CC and having more than one play off game, it wil be difficult to sack him.

I expect to see a new coach in place before the end of the calander year.

WELL FFS or words to that effect, that was a HUUUUUGE shock to everyone wasnt it?????

for what its worth initially it seems everyone who knows AP seems to agree the guy is a top businessman, smart thinker, descisive, honest, open and carries as his banner the word "integrity" at all times is what they are saying.
He seems to know exactly what he wants to do, has thought this one through thoroughly with a huge plan of action and he has repeated many times he wants to turn FC into one of the top teams in SL and has investment ready to do so....

So.........................

Lets now get behind this man and show him a massive ammount of support and the biggest round of applause ever when he comes out to take his seat against Leeds!!, he has invested in the club, sees and speaks of a big future for the club and has mentioned the fans a number of times so although i have never met him personally he seems to be the right man for the job at a time we quite frankly needed some good news didnt we!!!

Now lets not forget the outgoing board who between them have maybe not secured sucess on the field but have ensured the great club we all love is on solid foundations for the futre to build on so like them or blame them they also need a huge thank you and good luck too...

AP has called a meeting of RA and senior squad members early so it is clear he is getting a quick feel for the club from the inside , i am sure he knows the fans feelings all too well already so no doubt as one poster has already said RA will be uncomfortable for now based on recent results but AP is above all a very astute man who does not waste time or energy on no hope scenarios so I have no doubt he will move quickly to ensure the squad know he means business, and in turn the fans but interesting he has called a meeting of some senior squad members too...

Also aparently he wants a "rugby man" as an ongoing advisor too so a DOR is in the offing i think..

Good news , so lets enjoy it till something happens that changes it, lets get behind him and take him for his word not rumour of aligiencies that cannot be proved or disproved, lets for once get behind the guy and welcome him with open arms..

Now it's sunk in I'm really pleased with this news....it was about time for a change and at least the outgoing regime knew they could not rely on the loyal fan base to keep shuffling through the turnstiles for ever.

What heartens me is that Pearson has admitted he tried to make a move for FC as far back as 2002, so this is not some knee jerk reaction. That was literally one year into his involvement with Hull City so he clearly spotted the potential with FC early on.

If you look at what he achieved with the football club, he took them from a bottom tier sleeping giant into a premier league/championship level team - pretty much where they should be. Yes a few managerial hiccups along the way but you can't knock successive promotions. Plus he was ruthless with Brian Little, which I'm sure Rich Agar will be aware of.

From what I have heard about Pearson (through people who know him personally), he is a very savvy and enthusiastic salesman, I'm sure he will be able to convince top, top players to join us over the next few years.

Totally understand people's concerns, but there are risks involved in most business transactions and life in general. His statement could not be less vague if he tried.

A new beginning and I can't wait to sample the atmosphere on Sunday.
