Motto of the week -

It is the way of the weak to secretly bleat to those in authority rather than fight their own battles.

Fly the Flag!! : Mon Oct 20, 2008 6:44 pm
The Rugby League World Cup begins on Saturday.
I read a letter in the Rugby League Express asking all rugby league supporters to put England car flags on their cars.
The letter was from someone from Warrington and I believe we can get all rugby league supporters to join forces and fly the flag.
So lets all show support for our game and get your flags out for the lads (or girls)

Bot NZ and GB (england) have beaten australia in one off games. It is not gaureteed that australia will win the world cup let alone NSW or Queensland.

Though I admit there is that much talent in aussie that the two SOO sides are not that much behind the national side.

I think it is highly likely that aussie will win the world cup, and yes NSW or Queensland could probably beat NZ and GB. But it just stinks of arragance.

Due to politics you could probably say some Origin sides have been stronger than the National side.

Also you never hear of players choosing to miss Origin games barring Lyon but you do about Internationals.

The aussies are no doubt arrogant, but probably rightly so. THey could probably put out 3 sides who would all make the semis.

An Aussie side consisting of players only playing in the SL would give England a game and wouldnt be a shock if they came out on top.
