Too much manby pamby rubbish being thrown around on this thread for my liking.
The fact is Sharp has been shocking far too often this year. You can argue all you like about who should or shouldnt have dealt with that kick last night, but the fact remains that Sharp was in a position to diffuse the situation and fluffed it horribly.
He made a great run from acting half last night, but then had a brain freeze moment 20 seconds later and decided to put in the most terrible kick on the 3rd tackle. Unfortunately, his brain freeze moments occur far too often.
I can see that he is putting in sufficient effort, but the cold hard facts are that at this moment in time he is not good enough and teams will continue to exploit his weaknesses.
If some fans choose to boo, then that's their business, after all players are only too happy to accept the cheers when things are going well so should be prepared for a bumpy road when they are under performing. However, what some of the "perfect fans" on here seem to forget is that the boo birds don't come out willy nilly and boo every knock on or missed tackle, they come out when players make continued mistakes for a prolonged period of time and at the moment, Sharp falls into that bracket.
