Would assume down on last year, as it has been a while since the club have stated that we are having 'record sales' etc
We did just over 9K last year, and sadly I can't see us selling 1,100+ before the season starts.
i would agree, it now looks unlikely that we will beat last year. witch is a surprise in my eyes. thought people would get behind the new look team. i suspect had we bagged Chase and kept hold of manu we'd have been pushing 10k by xmas. anyway, thatll do for the 'what could have beens'
the only thing that sands in the way of us reaching the sort of gates we know we can get is wining silver. and our best chance of silver will be the cup. and that ant gonna change for a few seasons yet, so its about time we started putting some much improved cup runs together
The target of 10,000 was always a very ambitious one. If we start the season with between 8,000 and 8,500 then that is still not bad going given the continuing poor economic climate. I'm sure the figure will compare well with other clubs. I've not seen many claiming record sales.

Wigan claim to be breaking records. Passed 8,500 on December 7th

That they may well be doing as they have had a bigger average attendance over the last few years (16K reportedly) and have also seen a period of challenging for all the trophies, GF winners in 2010, SL leaders in 2010 & 2012 & Challenge Cup winner in 2011, success on the pitch brings in the fans.
Hull FC & AP have done well to get at least 8K pass holders after the crap that has been served up on the pitch over the last 7 or so years before AP took over. Also you can not ignore the fact that this region in particular has been hit very hard by the economic climate in the last 18months. You only have to look at Citys lower attendances compared to recent seasons that the economy in this area is biting and biting hard. So all in all I think its not a bad figure at all to reach and agree 10K would have been a push even if we had kept Manu and got Chase. I am sure during the season if Gentle and the team play attractive and consistent rugby and we are up there or there abouts then walk up numbers will increase and next season pass numbers will increase.

You would imagine that Wigan and Leeds will continue to set the standard, although I'm not sure how sales are going at Leeds. They are not shouting about records on their website from what I can see.
Warrington have referred to 8,000 sales last season but I've not seen a figure for 2013 pass sales.

About a week before Xmas, we (Leeds) were allegedly up 5% on the corresponding figure from 2011
Not a huge upsurge and certainly fewer than several years ago.
