For me its was a game we should have won had we played with the same or near the same intensity etc as our opening 2 games. We just didnt get going at all in the first 20 mins and that ultimately cost us. Typical of Hull FC that when we have an off night it tends to be generally across the board. Poor/sloppy tackling, missed tackles, not stopping off loads, poor option taking etc.
But even with a poor and disappointing performance we were still very much in the game and could still have won it had we had a little more composure Pritchard & Pryce the two that spring to mind. So for me as well as Cas played and exploited our mistakes etc, we were still in the game which is a massive positive. As poor as we were tonight we are still miles ahead of where we've been previous seasons. This result will probably actually do us more good than if we had won it as it now brings us all back down and keeps feet firmly on the ground.
Disappointed? Yes, downheartned definitely not. Just need to work on the defensive issues and put it to bed and move on to the Wigan game.
