I'm gutted about this, one of my favourite players of the last few years.
I’m not sure how I feel re Griffin as on the one hand he has been one of our better and most consistent players at times as was the case before his injury. Then on the other hand rumour of not seeing eye to eye with previous coach and sone truly awful efforts.
This season he has probably been our best and most effective SR so that colours judgement as fans a little. I wonder with his outbursts this season whether he has wanted to be at the club or felt wanted, who knows. That said what we do know as fans is that we have been crying out for an experienced coach who was prepared to make the hard & tough decisions & change the culture & mentality within the players.
For too long the club has been too sentimental and finally we are making decisions based on evidence of attitude & willingness to improve and give that extra 1%.
AP has finally got a coach in that meets the needs/requirements and has thankfully given his full support to the right coach this time.
I wish Josh all the best for his future and thank him for his efforts in the success he was a part of and now look forward to the future.
